Recensione: Per il suo nuovo album, la strabiliante chitarrista americana Jane Getter ha messo insieme una all-stars band con : il tastierista Adam Holzman (Miles Davis, Steven Wilson), il bassista Bryan Beller (Joe Satriani, The Aristocrats), il leggendario batterista Chad Wackerman (Frank Zappa, Allan Holdsworth, Steven Wilson) e come special guest in alcuni brani il cantante Corey Glover (Living Colour), il chitarrista Alex Skolnick (Testament, Savatage, Ozzy Osbourne) e Theo Travis (Steven Wilson, Robert Fripp) ai fiati.
“On” è il quarto album della chitarrista newyorkese ed il lavoro è stato mixato proprio a New York da Adam Holzman e da Steven Wilson.
Il risultato è un bellissimo disco di PROG JAZZ FUSION, con brani non solo tecnici ma anche emozionanti, con melodie e cantati che rendono il tutto apprezzabile anche da chi non è solo interessato ai virtuosismi ma ricerca l’ anima nelle canzoni e nelle performance.
E questo “On” ha anima da vendere !
Per i fan di Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Dream Theater, Animals as Leaders e The Aristocrats, del MODERN PROGRESSIVE ROCK e della FUSION JAZZ più elegante.
