È così che sono nati i Down
‘N’ Outz, il progetto guidato da JOE ELLIOTT dei Def Leppard, con i musicisti dei The Quireboys, che
suona brani legati ai Mott the Hoople, la storica GLAM ROCK band inglese del mitico Ian Hunter! I Down ‘N
Outz hanno aperto per i Mott the Hoople durante uno dei loro reunion show del 2009 all’Hammersmith
Odeon.
Oltre a Joe Elliott (voce, chitarra, tastiere), la band comprende Paul Guerin (chitarra), Guy Griffin
(chitarra), Keith Weir (tastiere) e Phil Martini (batteria) dei The Quireboys e il bassista Ronnie Garrity
(Raw Glory).
Dopo un’euforica accoglienza, questo progetto ha preso vita, iniziando a sfornare materiale.
La
band ha registrato “My Re-Generation”, prodotto da Elliott e Ronan McHugh.
L’album contiene solo cover
di artisti legati ai Mott the Hoople, come Mott, British Lions e Ian Hunter.
Nel 2014 i Down ‘N Outz hanno
pubblicato il loro secondo album in studio, “The Further Adventures of...”.
Adesso è il momento di “The Further Live Adventures of...”, un nuovo album dal vivo, disponibile in doppio
formato, 2CD+DVD e Blu-Ray, registrato a Birmingham durante il tour inglese del 2016.
